The Seshen "Flames & Figures" Directed by Dominic Mercurio
When Lalin St. Juste (singer of The Seshen) sent me this track, a long distance relationship in my life was slowly dissolving. It’s a testament to the power of Lalin’s songwriting that her lyrics for the song felt like couplets lifted directly from the thoughts swirling in my mind during those winter months. The desire to communicate with someone on a deeper level and the pain of feeling distant with someone you love were persistent feelings in my life. The songs sonic minimalism and raw prose beautifully reflected those feelings back at me. It only felt natural to reflect the visual narrative the track conjured in my mind back at it.

On the technical front - the music video was shot at 6fps (frames per second) and is presented in the more standard 24fps. What this meant for the production is that Lalin was dancing and singing along very slowly to a version of the song that was slowed down by 4x. The goal being that her movements would roughly be 'real-time' after being sped up by 4x. This results in the jittery stop-motion feel you see on display in the final music video.

Jason Gallaty "AEON" Directed by Derek O'Dellx
AEON is an abstract immersive audio-visual experience. A study on the behavior of energy over a period of time. Created using experimental 2D/3D animation techniques.

Kvelertak "Svartmesse" Directed by Torjus Førre Erfjord
This was a one man production, where every frame is hand drawn. The video follows the song's lyrical material closely, expanding on parts of it while also leaving rooom for abstractions and creative freedom where it felt appropriate. This allowed for the animation to explore creative and impulsive tangents while staying within the narrative framework desired by the band.

Skygaze "Drop" directed by Diego Torres
"Drop, a wild woman at the dark" is a Síntesis Creative Studio production for Skygaze, a "hand made" film by diegotorres No CGI. All Practical VFX.
Shot in Sony A7SII & Zeiss CP2
Shot in Ponte Caldelas in august 2016

Sharks' Teeth "Lost in the Cosmos" Directed by Derek Beck
In the summer of 2016, I was hit by a car on my bike and suffered an AC separation on my left shoulder that would require surgery to fix. During my first month of recovery, I began working on this video to help pass the time while being confined to my apartment in Brooklyn. I started by experimenting with oil pastels and stop-motion photography. I found a unique effect in pushing the pastel pigment around old photographs and recording the movement frame by frame. The end result is a stop-motion media meld chronicling the last five years of my life through photography.

Tocaio "Bokeh" Directed by Akayla Lewis and Mariana Gonzalez (WORLD PREMIERE)
Hector Carlos Ramirez describes his genre of music as ‘organic electronic.’ He combines electronic sounds and beats with field recordings to create a harmonious communication between the two. The interaction between the electronic and the organic is the driving theme of the music video we created.
